Open Day - School Tour (All year groups)
Our youngest girls at Durham School for Girls in Qatar begin their journey in a safe, nurturing environment. From the age of three, they explore a rich play-based curriculum with the guidance of caring teachers. With small classes, vibrant learning spaces and guided by Islamic values and Qatari culture, they discover creativity, joy and the first steps of lasting confidence and curiosity.
Learn through play in a child-centred environment, where teaching is tailored to each girl’s needs. Exploring the seven EYFS areas, they develop language, numeracy and creativity in a joyful and purposeful setting.
Develop respect for Qatari culture through Arabic and Islamic Studies, while living the M.A.R.K. values of moral integrity, ambition, responsibility and kindness, building character and cultural pride.
Thrive in bright, interactive classrooms and dedicated EYFS play areas. Designed for safe, peaceful exploration, each space encourages curiosity, independence and hands-on learning both indoors and outdoors.
Through kindness, honesty and respect, girls explore, play and learn together, discovering how to care for themselves and others every day.
Develop leadership from the very first years. At Durham, girls take turns, lead small group activities and learn to express ideas clearly and respectfully, laying the groundwork for future confidence.
Flourish with confidence in a nurturing all-girls campus that respects who they are. Supported by a strong pastoral team and PSHE lessons, our girls feel safe, valued and proud to belong.
Guided by caring, experienced teachers who observe learning daily - through play, focused tasks and parent feedback. Using tools like Tapestry, our team ensures every girl feels known, supported and continually challenged.
Grow within a close-knit, all-girls community that honours Qatari values through a British curriculum. House groups and shared traditions create a true Durham Family where every girl belongs, leads and thrives.
Enjoy dedicated EYFS outdoor spaces with water play, mark-making, ride-on bikes, sand and more. In cooler months, learning in art, maths and language moves outdoors, fostering creativity, movement and multi-sensory discovery.
Our admission team will guide you step-by-step, offering clear communication and year-round assistance to ensure a smooth transition into our vibrant community.

Express themselves
At our Kindergarten School in Doha, girls improve balance, coordination and movement through active play and focused fine motor activities. Whether riding wheeled toys, building with blocks or exploring mark-making, they gain control and assurance in physical skills that promotes health, joy and wellbeing.
Love of reading and writing
At our International Kindergarten in Doha, little learners develop a love of reading and writing through engaging stories, songs and phonics games. They count, compare sizes, sort objects and use mathematical language in meaningful ways - developing a solid foundation in numeracy that’s both fun and practical.

Girls investigate the world around them by observing nature, exploring cultures and using technology. They ask questions, make connections and talk about people, places and time, gaining curiosity and respect for their environment and the wider world they’re growing up in.

Learning is personalised according to each girl’s progress towards the outcomes, with tailored support to help them move forward with confidence. For example, if a student requires support in phonics, we provide targeted strategies to break words into sounds.
Durham girls develop strong social and collaborative skills by putting our MARK values into practice every day. In EYFS, they learn to work together which encourages teamwork from an early age. Students cooperate to solve problems and bring their ideas to life. Social interaction is woven throughout the day, as children learn and grow through play and shared experiences.
As a parent, I couldn’t be happier having my daughter attend Durham. She has been with Durham since EYFS1 and she has grown massively in confidence. From all the lovely event and dress-up days to her day-to-day learning, she absolutely loves it. My favourite part about being a Durham mum is the 'Stop and Learn' days. As a parent it has been wonderful to take part in my daughter’s learning journey and witness first-hand all the amazing things she has been doing at school.
